MUHAS UCSF Academic Learning Project
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation visions at scaling up its production of health workers to address Tanzania’s poor ratio of health worker to population. In ten years, MUHAS aims at quadrupling its graduate output. The collaboration saves to build the infrastructure to support pursuit of the target. The framework of the infrastructure in result is to be imitated by other medical institutions across the country and in other developing countries at large to create suitable environments for increase in production of competent health workforces to tackle health challenges in the societies.
