Progress on Curriculum Revision Process at MUHAS

The aim of this notice is to make all stakeholders aware of the progress, schedule of activities and thier involvement in the current or future activities in the curriculum revision process.

1. Completed Activities

a. Appointments of University and Schools/Institutes curriculum revision committees were done in March 2009.
b. Gap analysis of all courses in all Schools and Institutes was completed in May 2009.

c. Tracer study was completed in August 2009.

d. Analysis of tracer study and gap analysis data was completed in March 2010.

e. Training for faculty and students for curriculum revision was completed in January 2010.

f. Curriculum revision at Schools/Institutes levels was completed in November 2010.

g. Finalization of curriculum revision and compilation at university level conducted in between November 2010 and June 2011.

h. Approved by senate June / July 2011

i. Acreditation by TCU - September 2011

2. Current Activities

Implementation of the revised curricula from October 2011.

3. Next Activities

i.Monitoring and evaluation from October 2011 onwards

ii. Training of faculty on implementation of competency based curricula.
