The Regional Research and Documentation Center on Women, Gender and peace building in the Great Lakes Region, located in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo) has as objective to protect and promote the respect of the rights of women in the post-conflict areas in the Great Lakes Region. The Centre has 11 member countries: Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
