  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Sciences (B.Sc. EHS)
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Clinical Chemistry
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Haematology and Blood Transfusion
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Histotechnology
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Microbiology and Immunology
    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Parasitology and Medical Entomology

 

M.D. and D.D.S. (5 years)

 

(i) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Principal level passes at 'C' grade or higher in Chemistry or Biology/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics PROVIDED that the other two subjects are not below 'D' grade at A-Level. Preference will be given to applicants with credit passes at O-Level ('C' or above) in Chemistry or Biology in that order.

- Special consideration can be given to the following:

Candidates with 'E' in Physics, PROVIDED that: 
  • (i) They have at least a 'C' grade or higher in Chemistry and Biology. and
  • (ii) They must have a 'B' or higher grade in Mathematics and Chemistry at O-Level. 
Candidates with 'D' in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, PROVIDED that
  • (i) they have at least credit pass at 'B' grade level or higher in Chemistry and/or Mathematics at O-level. 
  • (ii) Equivalent Qualifications
(a) Appropriate Diploma/Certificate/Degree from a recognized institution with Principal passes at any level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-Level Education. (b) Holders of a first (Bachelors) degree with a major in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Zoology.

B.PHARM (4 years)

(i) Direct Entry Qualifications

Principal pass at 'C' grade in Chemistry and 'D' in both Physics and Biology/Zoology.

(ii) Equivalent Qualifications

Appropriate Diploma and 'E' passes at A-Level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. B.Sc. (Nursing) (3/4 years) 

(i) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Advanced level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Preference will be given to those with a 'C' grade in Biology and 'D' grades in Chemistry and Physics. 

(ii) Equivalent Qualifications

A holder of Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution with principal passes at any level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-Level examination. 

B.Sc. (Environmental Health Sciences) (3 years)

(i) Direct Entry Qualifications:

Two principal passes at A-Level in any of the following subjects: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Geography. One 'C' grade and two 'D' grades but preference will be given to those with 'C' grades in Biology. Credit passes at O-Level for the other subjects. 

(ii) Equivalent Qualifications:

Holders of appropriate diploma and/or Advanced Diploma in environmental health sciences of the University of Dar es Salaam or any other recognized institution of higher learning with two A-Level principal passes at any level plus two years experience. 

  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Clinical Chemistry (3 yrs)
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Haematology and Blood Transfusion (3 years)
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Histotechnology (3 yrs)
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Microbiology and Immunology (3 yrs)
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Parasitology and Medical Entomology (3 yrs)

(i)Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications

(i) Principal pass at C grade or higher in Chemistry, or Biology/Zoology or Physics/Mathematics, provided that the other subjects are not below D at “A” level. Preference will be given to applicants with credit passes (C or above) in Chemistry and Biology in that order.

(ii) Candidates with E in Physics/Mathematics at “A” level provided they have a “C” or above in Chemistry and/or Biology.

(ii)Equivalent Qualifications

(i) Appropriate Diploma/Advanced Diploma with three Principal passes at any grade in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at “A” level.
