Progress on the Curriculum Review Process at MUHAS

PROGRESS ON THE CURRICULUM REVIEW PROCESS AT MUHAS

The Directorate of Continuing Education and Professional Development wishes to inform all
stakeholders on the progress of MUHAS Curriculum Revision process. The aim of this notice is
to make all stakeholders aware of the progress, schedule of activities and involvement in
the current or future activities.

1. COMPLETED ACTIVITIES
a. Official launching of Curriculum revision process was held on 31st March at MUHAS by Vice Chancellor.
b. Appointments of Curriculum revision Committees by all schools and Institutes.
c. Gap analysis of all courses in each school and institute was completed in May 2009.
d. Preparation and pilot of tracer study instruments was completed in July 2009.
e. Tracer study field work was completed in August 2009.
f. Data Analysis for tracer study and gap analysis was completed in March 2010.
e. Curriculum revision training for faculty and students was conducted from October 2009 and completed in January 2010.
g. Curriculum revision exercises at school level were conducted from April 2010 and completed on July 2010.

2. CURRENT ACTIVITIES
Compilation of new proposed curriculum by schools departments is being done and reports are to be submitted to schools’ deans by 6th of August 2010.

3. NEXT ACTIVITIES
a. Processing of approval for new proposed curriculum by MUHAS Management.
b. Processing of TCU accreditation for new proposed curriculum.
