One of the functions of the University is to do research. The University continued to conduct research in priority areas as stipulated in the MUHAS Research Policy. During the reporting period the University had 34 research projects in collaboration with different institutions within and outside the country. However, research at the University continued to be largely supported by donor funds. Government contribution to the research fund in the University remained low at less than 1% of the total budget, which is all the same entirely shouldered by the government. The pictures below depict different situations of research and research training in the University while the table that follows presents a list of all the ongoing projects in the University. - Public Health Informatics
