The National Institute for Medical Research-Muhimbili Centre under the East Africa Consortium for clinical research are seeking Masters student with full funded tuition fee to support their research cost and stipend. The student must agree to work on project (MSc thesis) related to Neglected infectious diseases in particular evaluation of new detection tools for Cysticercosis or conduct study to determine Cysticercosis disease, prevalence, symptoms and/or different diagnostic tools in Tanzania. The Cysticercosis study is funded by the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP).
In addition to the university supervisors, the student should have a formal supervisor from NIMR Muhimbili as well.

Duration of the post:
One-year with extension depending on the performance.
The student will be given stipend and additional support during field work. They will also supervised during their MSc studies and mentored by reputable and well experienced researchers to be independent researchers.
Mode of Applications:

We will also need proof from the supervisor that the student will conduct a study on NID in particular Cysticercosis as stipulated above. Self-sponsored students are also encouraged to apply.
